I do not have access to that information here, but there are car books, maybe even at your local library, that give the book times for different things done mechanically at repair shops. Then all you would need to know is what labor rate the repair shop charges per hour to get an idea. One big difference is when there are electrical problems, instead of just parts replacement though, because finding electrical faults can sometimes be VERY time consuming.

Well. If you brought your car in and said "I only want you to replace A, B, C, and that's all." Then you're probably looking at around $90.00. (labor)

If you brought your car in and they had to trouble shoot the problem, then you're looking at a considerable increase in the labor rate. If you were charged $300.00 that's about right.

to protect the consumer from outragious charges by mechanics who work to slow or have installation problems
