That one was funny, and at the end when the nurse told Betty that her dad, Ignacio Suarez, was using the social security number of another guy. Who was 117. And dead!

this show is cute...and boo on the people who are so "politically correct" that they don't realize they WOULD snicker at someone who looked like that... it's not just the glasses and braces, but added her weight, her hair, her clothes style... sure they are going for stereotypes, because they are REAL!! who wore glasses and wasn't called 4- eyes growing up at least once.. come on.

the characters are very likeable, funny, and the comedy is light hearted.... reminds me of old sitcoms where the interaction and dialogue was just as important as the chemistry between the actors.. nowadays shows are all about "reality" tv, or surviving in the desert, or cops and lawyers and legal drama.... whatever happened to good ol' TGIF --- family ties, boy meets world, full house, etc etc? this is the first "sitcom/soap drama" type show i've watched in awhile that actually hooked me.... so stop hating! :)

Yes - it was a change from the usual because the other two assistants were actually talking to Betty ... and Mr. Meade (the boss) didn't want to hear about what happened because he didn't want Betty to be fired.. and it was nice to see if Betty would tell a lie just to come out alive but we find out that she sticks to her values/morals... and its great that they're giving Betty's dad a story line... finally something that's not completely focused on Betty. Oh, but I hate that Betty went out to sit on the porch with her ex boyfriend (who cheated on her!)

Personally I object to the premise that putting on glasses and a bad hair style and not-so-nice dress sense, makes a person ugly.
