This is not a "Yes" or "No" question. Absolute power is simply putting too much power into the hands of anyone, even though some people may not change as a result of this. The problem is that there is no guarantee what someone will do with that sort of power and because too many people become "power happy" and ego-inflated, power must always have checks and balances. Many powerful men, while still in power, went crazy--or were on personality-altering drugs--or were alcoholics, or went senile, etc., long before anyone could intercept or even determine this. e.g. Hitler.

no, since it's absolute power, the power is absolute. Only one party has the power, and it will remain "pure" with that party only. Unless the power becomes to greedy so that they split up. THen they no longer become absolute.
