Why is it that Burger King has the sizes small, medium, and large for breakfast but has medium, large and king size for lunch/dinner?

Why do I eat that crap? Hmmm, that is a thought provoking answer to my question. On one hand I want to say, why are you such an asshole? On the other I want to say, because it's cheap, quick, and easy when you forget to bring your healthier lunch. Hmmm, I think I'll stick with the, Why are you such an asshole?

its all done by conducting surveys on what people preffer, restaurasnts like this spend tons of money each year on research like this to see what consumers are willing to buy and not buy based on the time of day or in general

The main thing that concerns me about the sizing at any fast-food chain, is the act the the difference between the regular or medium size and the king (or super sized) is about 5 french fries, and a bucket full of Coke.

Because a king never gets up before noon and thus has little to do with breakfast, to serve king size at breakfast would be a waste as no kings will eating

Because people in the morning can't have KING sizes because it can't destroy your stomach by time if you had a huge amount if coke in the morning, but in the lunch/dinner time you already ate before so your stomach can handle huge amount of coke.

To be honest with you - Coke is not all at all but it's good with that burger ;)

Hello Neptune,

Excellent question dude!

If you were to order, two large hashbrowns, for instance, then it would be equivalent to the king-size quantity french fries they serve during lunch/dinner.

I always order two large hashbrowns during breakfast and one king-sized french fries during lunch/dinner at Burger King.

Good Luck.

I think it's because they can't really "King-Size" their breakfast foods. Who the hell ever would want a giant bucket full of BK tater tots with their sandwich? I think it's just based off of what people order.

It seems a mystery to me.
But, I'm going to take a guess.
Maybe first thing in the mornings people can't eat as much as in the afternoons. Therefore, they make the meals smaller.

because they can call their old small a medium ( without changing sizes mind you ) and charge more for it by giving the illusion that you're getting more. pizza places did the same thing when they got rid of small pizzas.
