Jo you have a point.

It is mainly a question of ease, I do not think they have C language in German or French, correct me if you can.

India is very diversified. It had at one time 500 to 750 countries(Kingdoms). To day Indian central government uses 26 official languages to conduct its day to day activities, Hindi is the only one of the official languages. Next to Hindi, it is my opinion, that English would be the other most common language in use in all big cities in India.

There may be more people in India that can get by with broken English then any non English speaking country.

I believe also that Internet's official language is English. Yahoo India is on Internet and when I checked last time the Community Guidelines, it said you must use English.

Lots of people have answer this and given their view, some were nasty, I hope I am able to point out the regulation and the facts.

I do not think there is a good useful Hindi Key board compatible with the Internet.

What British could not do all over the British Empire Internet is now doing it, people are using and learning to use English on Internet.

By the way there is no laguage call Indian. Here are few of the official language, Hindi, English,(these two are most used), Gjarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telungu, Panjabi(these are all provincial [state]languages)...... at the time or independence I believe India had 26 provinces with its language and the government.
