yes a new born can be that small. it is usually because it was premature. my daughter was 7 &1/2 inches long. i had to by her the cabbage patch kids clothes. they make really cute clothes and it costs roughly the same as real baby clothes. the preemie clothes i tried to buy for her still swallowed her whole.hope i have helped you .

yes they can be that small. but highly likely that the baby wouldn't go home at 9 inches! walmart does have a lot of cute preemie clothes!

If you give birth to a 9-inch long baby, she probably won't survive, unless she's in the ICU for a loooooong time. By the time she's out of there, she'd be able to wear preemie clothes.

I doubt the NICU will be putting clothes on a preemie that small. They'll be more concerned with saving it's life.

a baby that small wont survive. my daughter was 13 inches long and one pound and she died. the only clothes that small are doll clothes im soorry your going through this

They do make small clothes for premies, but I think you'll be better getting clothes in the doll departments of any toy store.

When I had my oldest daughter in 1997 she was premature and very tiny and all of the newborn clothes fell off of her and my dr told me to buy baby doll clothes for her and thats what I did and they fit her perfect.

A newborn who's nine inches won't be wearing clothes. They'll be in the NICU not wearing anything.
