You are confused.
Having an atomic number of 26 (or, as you term it, being number 26 in the periodic table) means that **one atom of iron has 26 protons in the nucleus**. It says nothing about how many atoms are in any piece of metal.
A bar of metal has far more than just 26 atoms.

Iron does not have 26 atoms. The atom of iron has 26 protons, 26 electrons and 30 neutrons.
Iron, as in an iron bar, is composed of many, may atoms of iron. If you have your bar and you cut it perfectly in two, then each half will have half of the atoms (billions on each half) of the original bar.
Think of an atom as a brick on the wall.

Secondly, You cannot see atoms through a microscope !!! It is impossible !!!!!!!!!

I think you have the point all wrong.
Iron is element number 26. It has 26 protons in the nucleus of every atom.
26 grammes of Iron contains 600000000000000000000000 atoms. When you cut a bar of Iron in two there are plenty of atoms in both pieces.

That would depend on the individual atom wouldn't it? I mean not all atomi are created equal, like some people. Anyway you can't dismiss out of hand the statistical reality that there does exist in significant numbers the isotope of iron. Then too iron oxidizes across the spectrum from -2 to +6 making it also capable of reducing and very likely covalent bonding which implies possible crystalization configurations. It's not like you can seperate the neutrons like pennies from a pile of change. Even if you could neutons stick to acrylic and if that were easy to do your house would have neutron icicles hanging from the paint and the grocery store's flourescent lighting and you could get hit with one and die if it hits a vein or artery. That would not be good, would it? So, lets just brush our teeth, go to bed early and get up early and not worry the guys to help you so much seriously. Or maybe you should ask that guy that said 30 for a date.

26 is the atomic number of iron, which means the number of electrons and protons, not the number of atoms , number of atoms for a mole of iron containing an avogadros number of atoms.

The atomic no. indicates no. of electrons in the outer shells of an atom - k, L, M etc. In each shell the no of electrons are restricted by equation 2*square of shell no.- e. g. in K shell(first shell) there will be max. 2 electrons, in Lshell there will be 8 electrons and so on.
To study atoms electron microscopes of very large magnifying capacity are used.
In one meter there will be about billion billion atoms.
