and
1 quart = 4 cups
so
1 gallon = 16 cups

One US Gal=128 fluid oz...not to be confused with avd oz used in weight, of which 16 make up a pound (not to be confused with the Brittish pound sterling).

One cup here is generally 8oz, so one gallon yields 16 cups...unless you mean coffee-cups which usually are 6oz, giving a very odd number of cups per gallon.

The term 'glass' is even sillier...its volume can run from 8 to 12 fl oz...unless you mean a wine glass, which is often 4oz, but can depend upon the wine it is meant to hold...and a 'shot-glass' could be between 1 and 2 fl oz, depending upon the bartender who is pouring.

Let's not get into yards, rods, chains, and their ilk.
