Know of any good hotels with casino pkg deals and/or reccomendations for the area.

Harrah's would be the most convenient. Cherokee/Maggie Valley is a popular tourist attraction so hotels shouldn't be a problem.
Asheville, NC/Pigeon Forge, tn would be about an hour from Cherokee with tons of hotels in all price ranges.

there is a nice Comfort Inn ,at the western edge of Cherrokee that I stayed at I think they have Casino Pkgs.

I stayed in a cabin in the Mountains. If you do a search on cabins to rent, there are lots of privately owned places that the owners rent out, and they are superb. Enjoy
