not know all the details, it sounds like they may have had a ton of evidence on her not being a good wife or mother...but it also sounds like she had a bad lawyer.....also sounds like the husband may have had lots of money and clout....she should get another lawyer from another town..

Was your friend hearing or talking impaired? People get what they negotiate. She should have gotten herself a good lawyer. When cases go through mediation, that's it. Whatever is decided cannot go back to the court system for any appeals...

Tell her to cry it off, and to feel very fortunate to be without a blood sucking husband like she used to have and also, she is a SINGLE WOMEN WITH NO KIDS AGAIN... I bet there are a lot of women out there that would love to start over again with a CLEAN SLATE... I bet it hurts like he** not to have her kids, but eventually she will have to get over it. If her kids have any love for her, they will look for a relationship with her no matter what.

She needs to see this terrible situation with the utmost positive attitude, regroup and start all over...

There has to be alot more to this story.... The court does not give everything to one person normally.. Assests are divided...
Did she have a lawyer????? If he didn't represent her properly then she can file a suit against him...If she didn't get a lawyer then she asked for trouble......
It is so one-sided that I wonder what was really happening in her life ....There just isn't enough info here to give a honest answer....

Without knowing more details it's hard to give a correct answer. Sometimes the one with the best lawyers and has money to throw aound can win a case fairly easy. I feel bad for your friend.

I don't think that you have the whole story here.
Your friend would have to be awful meek to let all of that happen, where was her attorney. If she feels wronged she can file appeal, and also file against her ex's attorney and / or the judge for their behavior in the case.
