I can say that 1 = 2.[Only for fun. 1 cannot be equals to 2]
I can prove it also. Look at the prove below,
Let, a = b
Therefore, ab = a^2
or, ab - b^2 = a^2 - b^2 [After minusing b^2 from both sides]
or, b(a - b) = (a + b)(a - b)
or, b = a + b [After dividing both sides by (a - b)]
or, b = b + b [Because, a = b]
or, b = 2b
or, 1 = 2 [After dividing both sides by b]

I suppose it depends on exactly the meaning of "=". (thanks, Mr. Clinton)
An engineer might define "=" to be within a range of experimental error. If the computed error in an equation is, for instance, 5, than the scientist performing the experiment could argue that writing 2 results as "1 = 2" made sense.

A pun uses one word with two meanings. Sometimes the spelling is different but the spoken words are identical. Sigmund Freud claimed in his book on humor that a good pun worked because of the "economy of words" and created tension (relieved by laughter) as the audience considered which meaning was meant.

1 cannot equal to 2. If you are talking about the proof for this, there is one glitch in there. There is one step where you divide by a-b or b-a, which would mean that you divide by zero, which would be undefined. So hope this helps.
