South African Apartheid: Racism against black S. Africans
Rodney King: White police beat an African American, African American's then drag Denny ?? out of a truck and beat him, after the police are found not guilty.
Rosa Parks: African American refuses to move to the back of the bus.
There are tons of examples where racism existed or the struggle for equality was happening.
Some would suggest that Hurricane Katrina showed racism.

- help didn't come for DAYS with mostly african-americans stuck in the city
- many people including but not limited to african-americans tried to cross the crescent city connection bridge to seek refuge but were turned around by police with guns

One thing I can think of is the Indian Removal act. It sparked the removal of the Native Americans to Oklahoma-the Trail of Tears-it was a huge disgrace to our country.
