Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
A visit to Malaysia and see a few sights, meeting its people, and eating good food, is more than enough to make for an unforgettable trip. Kuala Lumpur is situated midway along the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia, at the confluence of the Klang and Gombek rivers. It is approximately 35 km from the coast and sits at the centre of the Peninsula's extensive and modern transportation network. Kuala Lumpur is easily the largest city in the nation, possessing a population of over one and a half million people drawn from all of Malaysia's many ethnic group.
Malaysia consists of the following 13 states and two federal territories (starting from the North going to the South):
*
Northern Region: Perlis, Kedah, Penang, and Perak.
*
East Coast Region: Kelantan, Terengganu, and Pahang.
*
Central Region: Selangor, federal territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
*
Southern Region: Negeri Sembilan, Malacca, and Johor.
*
Borneo Region: Sabah and Sarawak, federal territories of Labuan.
Landmark IT Mall in Johor Baru as a leading one-stop information technology (IT) centre in the southern region. It was timely for Johor Baru to have a one-stop IT centre or mall of its own, like in Kuala Lumpur and Georgetown. Currently, shops selling computer paraphernalia and IT-related products in the Johor Baru district were scattered all over. Johoreans would cross over to Singapore's Funan IT Mall to purchase computer-related products despite the strong Singapore currency. Landmark IT Mall, a one-stop centre provides consumers the convenience of searching for or buying IT-related products under one roof. Basement level and Level 1 of the centre would be allocated for digital cameras and electronics goods, Levels 2 to 4 for IT products and computers and Level 5 for mobile phones. Among the occupants are Samsung IT Plaza, Fujitsu Concept Store, Nitro Store, Audio Planet, TwinHead and Acer showrooms and computer DIY stores and service centres.
