I'm 35 yr old family man with a 15 yr habbit. I have tried NA. I did about 20 meetings in a month and just couldn't get on their wavelenth so I don't really wanna go down that road again. I 've gone cold several times but couldn't stay clean, I've done the Lofexodine thing. Waste of time. I've even taken Naltrexone straight after using. Twice. I reckon that makes childbirth look like a walk in the park. I just haven't tried rehab so as I'm in a position to finance it I thought I should try.

I don't know any rehabs but have to congratulate you for wanting to help yourself. I have heard there are some good rehabs in Iceland that are becoming very popular with Briths and Americans. Hope you find what you need and that it works for you. Good luck

Your talking about Naltrexone there. So I'm thinking your on about Heroin. Have you tried substitute prescibing, like a Methadone programme or Subutex (Bupranorphine) ths is a blocker and you can't use on top as you get no effect.

I'm sorry the 12 step didn't work out for you.....

Good Luck

i guess that all depends on your drug of choice, and I'm sorry to say that you probably wont find a center at $3000 for 6 wks.do you have any insurance? my personal opinion is to detox some where (in a rehab) stay away from your looser friends i mean a total life transformation and pull the will power out of your a ss.
i hope your strong enough for that.is your will to live and function more than for your high?????? it has to be!!!! if not your wasting your time....... dude, good luck, it ain't nothing but a thing,
get it together, it sounds like your ready..one day at a time....
and don't f uck that day up, its just one less you get to live....

i don't know any but if you look on the internet you should find something. Or go to your local drug centre, (you can ask your doctor) They will help you find rehab.

I know how difficult it can be as my sister's fiance REALLY wanted to come clean...

...She went out one day to do the shopping leaving her fiance feeding their baby in her highchair, when she came home she found her baby crying and her boyfriend dead. He was 27. I really hope you can overcome this as there are only 2 endings- death or happiness, good luck......

Let me give you some advice that is priceless. Just stop.
You can talk a situation to death, work programs, this and that. You have a mind use it, and just say enough, don't waver and don't return to a behavior that is negative.
