i know its a cliche' talking about it all the time and i dont care if i get reported,i have a right to my opinion.before you discrimiate someone for their race or colour please remember nobody chose to be born black, white or tan.we dint fill out an application saying how we want to look or whether we want to be born in a rich or poor family and most of all the colour of our skin.having said that i have never been more proud to be born who i am where i am and the colour i am.i would like sane opinions to this open discussions.the other insane opinions you can air them in a mental institution.

We all know it exist, but most of us try and create a world where it does not exist. this way most of us will act in a way that is not racist and the ones who do behave like racist you know who they are straight away.

I think it would be could to start at a premis where we are all equal with no racism existing. could be just a dream. but we have to start somewhere

It would be awfully nice to live in a world where racism doesn't exist. But, I think it's part of human nature to tease or pick on, or even be downright mean to someone who is different. This isn't limited to race, either. Growing up in a town that was 99.99 percent white, white kids found plenty of things to pick on each other about. Maybe a person had b.o., or funny eyebrows, or was too tall or too short.

I live in Japan now, where I am a minority, and sometimes I do experience racism. But, I also see people be mean to each other in almost the same way for things other than race. And the vast majority of people are really very nice, and don't care about what color I am or if I'm short or tall (I'm actually tall for a change here!).

Maybe if all of us pretended racism didn't exist, it would stop existing . . . .

I can't under stand why there are people that still bring this subject up anymore,,,,, It's like Atheism ,,,,, These subjects have been beat over the head,,,,,, drawn out and hashed over again and again and nothing anyone can say or do here and now can change the situation ,,,There have been a million words spoken about both these topics but it changes nothing so that makes these subjects moot at best,,,,, And because of that it makes anyone still asking or making statements about them look like they are just looking for arguments instead of answer,,,, And yes you were born and yes you have rights and yes you have skin and yes you are proud and yes to all that other jibberish ,,, You aren't saying anythng now that hasn't been said a million times already ,,,And people concerned about this sort of thing have raised enough hell with the government to get laws changed and established to make discrimination against the law ,,,, which is right too ,,,, But what these laws and your rabble rousing can't change or control is the minds of the individual citizen and his INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS,,,,EVERYONE has the RIGHT to think what they want ,,,, NO ONE has the right to try and change that ,,,, So now we all have these rights ,,,, GREAT ,,, WONDERFUL,,,,,The constitution garantees that ,,,,Just like it guarantees everyone else the right to ignore you and not have to listen to this crap anymore if they choose not to ,,,,This isn't Nazi Germany ,,,,,You can't force an individual to adopt the same opinions you have ,,,, You can't force people to act towards you the way you think they should ,,,,, you can't make people sit on needles and pins when you are around worried about wheather they are going to offend you ,,, We all have individual rights including you and no one can infringe on them ,,,,,, There are just some things that people have to live with or get over ,,,,,,,,,,, So now we all have these rights ,,,,,, But what about racism ? That's just one of those things alot of people have to get over and live with ,,,,, Not only whites but blacks too ,,,,, Racism isn't exclusively a white trait you know ,,,,, There are as many blacks if not more that are as racist if not more so as whites ,,,,,,, So now we have all this settled ,,,,, What's your question?? and what's your point ?? and this isn't comming from some one in an institution ,,,, I'm perfectly sane,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, By the way ,,,, you might consider honing your grammar and literary skills ,,,,,, Your statement is fraught with mistakes ,,,, it's confusing and hardly coherent ,,,,,,

Racism certainly does exist. I think we act like it doesn't because we would like to give everyone a chance no matter what their back ground.
I try hard to instill the idea in my child (as my parents did with me) that no matter what the steroetype is of a persons race - you still need to give the individual a chance to show what they are like - some will be like the worst image in your mind and some will be amazing people that you will be pleased to have met. My parents grew up in a very racist time in Australia (during the "white Australia policy" days) but we still have very good friends from all races - aboriginal, asian, maori.

Looks like we got us a L I B E R A L!Quit hiding behind your race and whining that someone is racist against you!You are merely trying to make people take notice of you,and gain attention so that society will feel sorry for what our ancestors did 200 years ago.I personally have 3 kids whom are black/white,and I defend them if I deem it necessary. They work very hard to maintain good ethics, and good grades. That should speak for itself alone.Without any further worry of the "POOR ME" act as so many try to use as a form of attention, and a free handout.
