kindly please enlighten me on this, i was interviewed by the us consul last october 12, 2006 and was given the yellow slip (to signify that my application for non-immigrant visa was approved). but the thing is until now i don't have my visa yet and it's been 7 working days since my interview. as per the us embassy website in manila it says there that the processing of approved visa would only take 4 working days. i'm now worried that my passport got lost somewhere in their system because according to the courier services, my passport is still with the embassy. so which is which? call me paranoid but i'm worried that somebody might use my passport and i would have a bad record because of it (yup i'm watching too many 'mission impossible' movies). but the thing is my brother was interviewed last october 17, 2006 and he got his visaed passport last october 19, 2006! would you believe that?! so please could somebody please enlighten me and tell me that this thing happens..........please

It looks like people don't read the questions.

It is about 2 weeks after the interview on average. There were some US holidays lately so that will delay the sending of the visa because the embassy closes for all US and Philippine holidays. You should have it by the 27th.

Welcome to the USA!

yeah it really happens.i have a lot of friends who have the same situation.we are all married to a US enlisted men but it still take a long time.they said if u r married to a US service men u will have ur visa soon as possible but its not true.the longest time one of our friends case has been is 2 years.she even had their child born here.and the US father was already desperately losing hope by then.the cause was some misplace documents, human error mostly.the fastest we heard is 9 months.actually i didnt have my immigration papers process here in philippines coz i know the philppine practice/way of handling such cases.just try to make a phone call follow up every now and then.as they said if u can afford an immigration lawyer,it will help.its just the way philippines are..

Patience. It takes a LONG TIME. Keep bugging the US embassy. If you can afford an immigration lawyer, that'll help. It takes several months.

Good luck.

It takes 4 to 6 months from the time they receive it. First, they will send you a packet of information and things to do. You'll need to do everything, get your physical exam, and send it all back.
