First you are wrong to think that you live only one life. I have lived 23 lives and one more to go. You can be as happy as you want to be Yes when you do something that helps others then you should live for it for sure.

Is the question am I happy in my life? Yes....I've made a million mistakes and learned something from each one, my mistakes have molded me into the person I am today, and definitely, for the most part I AM happy with my life.
