Scientists claim there is evidence for a 'big bang' at the beginning of time, sending matter out from a central point which became the universe. My question to them is who or what caused the 'big bang'? Did matter suddenly come into existence spontaneously and then explode all by itself?

Matter appearing by itself and then exploding is far harder to believe than the idea that God created everything. Either way you slice it, you take it on faith, which is belief in something without actual proof. That's why they call it 'The Big Bang THEORY'. It's never been proven to be true.

It is my theory that the universe did not start with a 'big bang', but rather a mildly loud bang.

OH MY GOD!

The big bang theroy was when the planets broke into milions of pieces and spread all over the universe.

So there weren't any people living on the planets.

It was a big bang alright, when God said let there be light and so forth. When he threw to stars into the heaven and named them all. Hung the Sun and the Moon. When he created man in his own image, and breath the breath of life into to him. That is big.
And what is even bigger is Gods plan for us his people!

There would have been no 'bang' - sound by definition is the movement of sound waves through air, and there was no air, therefore no bang!
