The mind that is dishonest cannot see reality.
He is in a groove that doesn't want the light to shine inside.
All the activities of a fragmented mentality is always dishonest, it can never be honest.
All his outside show of honesty are just pretensions to protect his divisive self.
He is just playing his own separate game in his little field.
To negate all divisions and be vulnerable is honesty.
I think being vulnerable is morbid for a dishonest mind.
To protect his little self is his motto.
This selfish mentality can only be awaken if he is lucky enough to see the signal of the never ending intelligence.

There is no "reality." It is a construct. There is no ultimate truth. What is true & what is a lie? It's all a matter of degree. How can you ever have an accurate view of anything? Wouldn't it always be your personal view, coloured by your life experiences, preconceptions, biases etc? Is anyone really capable of being objective? How can anyone say honestly & definitively what is true & accurate?
I don't think lying is moral but at the same time I don't think you can blame the world's problems on lies. On greed, perhaps. On carelessness, cruelty, apathy, but not necessarily on deceit. There are worse things than lying. Murder for example. I'd rather someone lie to me than kill me!
How do you prove that something is true anyway? Isn't it a matter of opinion? What is true for one may not be for another. I don't think social niceties can be blamed for destroying the planet & each other. Someone could be completely honest & still be diabolical, could they not? If an evil man admits what he's doing, but doesn't stop doing it, or feel any remorse, does that make it any better?
Personally I would rather someone be honest with me, even if it's harsh. That's just me. I'd rather live without illusions in my relationships. However, I don't think the world hinges on the myriad lies and truths that people tell each other.
If you don't think my response is coherent or intelligent, feel free to be honest with me!
Cheers!
:)

What is reality anyway? It is someones perception of things that are real. What is real to me may not be real to you. So, in order to make an intelligent decision or response. You have to decide if what is in front real or not. But then again this could all be an illusion and you are not see this in the first place and I could be telling you the truth but if I an not real then how can I tell you the truth. So, that means that I am ling to you but, I am still telling the truth because I admitted that I lied.
In other words, you are thinking too much.
If you are wondering when all of this will come to an end. Join the club. I could tell you the God is still in control and that everything will come out alright in the end and Christ is coming soon. But you probably would not believe me in the first place because you are not sure if I real or not.
For all you know I could be from the plant Vulcan and E.T. is a close friend of mine.

There is an inbuilt tolerance level in the humans, which will not act till there is a 'real' threat perception.
Some lives are lost as a result of this putting off, yet this is the psychology, collective thinking or whatever.
Nothing much can be done at a large scale to dissuade people from trying to live in this false hood. Instead create some fresh activity, which set some kind of new trend, to take care of desired changes.
However, at individual level, on one-to-one basis, any individual can be shaped to live the way a human is designed to be.

Its not fear of hurt feelings that stops people being honest with each other. Its the yuppie mentality of not giving all your cards away to your opponent.
People see each other as vague or not so vague threats, or enemies, in business and out of work.
You don't have to go along with it. Just refuse to play games, thats all it takes.
But remember, you can't force everyone around you to do the same, and they'll despise you for it. They'll see you as weak and foolish, because thats how they choose to think. Just because you choose to be assertive doesn't mean the rest of the world will respect your decision or do the same.
I don't think its the rulers that are the main problem. If more people were jsut decent in everyday life, we wouldn't be so stressed all the time and life would be more pleasant, if not easier. Its too easy to point the finger at everyone else - just sort yourself out and worry about your own behaviour and decisions.

People prefer to be in their comfort zones generally and prefer to except lies and what is fed to them through the media etc.
I tell my girls it is always easier to do the wrong thing than to do the right.. and so it is generally with the world. It is easier to say nothing and not rock the boat.. Humanity suffers when good men stand by and let the bad happen. Sometimes even when the truth is said it is still twisted by those who do not wish there to peace, who make money from the chaos and misery.
If more good people make a stand, then the rest will follow. There is enough wealth in this world to help all of the poor, sick and dying..

i think the accurate view of reality is that our reality is one big lie. some lies are necessary to uphold the construct of society, though. can you imagine what would happen if people just started telling the truth all the time? when people ask you how you are doing, do you think they really want to hear the answer? no, no. we can never stop the game. the world would end.

Here's an example of what I think you mean about people hiding the fact that we are dishonest behind excuses of caring for one another. Both Time and Newsweek, current issue (Oct. 23), report on release of new book by White House insider David Kuo, called "Tempting Faith: An Inside Story of Political Seduction". Kuo was 2nd in charge of Bush's Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives. He says he heard and saw Bush's staff view the Christian community with contempt and derision. "The back-office Republican political machine was able to take Evangelicals for granted -- indeed, often viewed them with undisguised contempt -- and still get their votes." (Time)
and from Newsweek, "The book...depicts a White House that publicly embraced conservative religious leaders with "hugs and smiles" but privately mocked them as "nuts," "ridiculous" and "out of control."
Now that's what I call being dishonest behind excuses of caring for another.

I completely Agree with you but sometimes Intelligence is only gained after Chaos takes place. It bothers me to think that the world would rather kill itself off then stop to realize that things can be solved and it will only take rational thought and understanding to get along. Who knows whats going to happen but im afraid that massive loss of human life is sometimes the only thing that can get people to realize how ignorant they really are.
