because the parents are complete morons! i would never teach my child to be racist to much hate in the world as it is!besides that i dont care if your black, yellow, purple, pink etc they are still a human being just like yourself! TREAT PEOPLE THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE TREATED ! MY MOTTO good luck :)

I would'nt teach my child to be racist.Thats whats so nice about children.They don't start out life by breaking people down.People that are intimidated by another race or culture are the ones that teach their children to notice that there is a difference.Ignorance will not let these people realize that there is so much more to understand than what revolves in there small world.

I wouldn't, neither would you. But, I guarentee that you would teach your kids whatever you felt was important to you.
Racist people tend to feel strongly about their racial feelings. Intentionally or not, they convey those feelings to their kids. And like anything else kids are exposed to, they learn from it.
As time goes by, some kids instinctively learn that racism is wrong, some kids learn through education. Most, just remember what they were exposed to at home...
Boils down to which you believe in: nature or nurture??

I would not teach "racism" per say, but I do teach my child to respect who she is and that includes her race. I do not believe in interracial relationships, as that are debilitating in most cases. We as a people are culturally different, that is in beliefs, religion, language, perception, and in most every area, including the way we carry ourselves as individuals.
Be open to learning about other cultures, at the same time, don't forget yours.

I don't think many parents teach their children to be racist, except by example.

No way!! I have always told my kids that everyone is equal. Creed, color, money. No one person is better than another reguardless of anything!

I would teach my kids to be careful of people who might try to hurt them, and kind to those that show kindness to them. Would you show me kindness or try to hurt me?
