If you want to do something productive, tidy your desk/ filing/ plannign what you're going to do tomorrow.
If you want to do something fun and creative, write a checklist on "How to tell the difference between a sleeping person and a fossilised fish," or design the ultimate sandwich or something.

draw a picture
tidy up
have a drink/snack
get your coat / bag
fill in timesheet
write down hours to work
think about how you are going to spend the rest of the day
phone a freind
ask your audience!

Sleep always works for me. If you can't sleep at your desk, then go and sit on the toilet for 10 minutes whilst you sleep!
