Your question surfaces a memory and a plan I intended.
I got told if I had amputated my own leg I would still feel the pain I felt causing me to want to pluck up the courage to go ahead with my plan.
I had a freak accident where an ornament fell onto my knee. It knocked me out cold and when I cam round the pain seemed tolerable enough not to seek medical attention.
Six weeks later I found the pain progressing and walking, standing or any weight on my leg disabled me.
I went to the hospital and had it x-rayed but nothing was found so I tolerated for a very long time before going back to seek more help in discovering what was causing me so much pain. Nothing could be found other than my knee cap was movable, can't remember what he said now (11 years ago) but possible I had torn ligament and this could take months to heal.
I left it months but it was only getting worse and I have a very high pain tolerance but this was worse than childbirth (and I had two totally natural). I couldn't walk, stand and I couldn't live for it. I couldn't see a way forward with this leg of mine and planned to buy a bottle of whiskey, had the roope and could imagine myself with my leg under a nearby railway line (self amputation)...
Hearing how I would still feel the pain without my leg helped to take the thought away, and it took 6 years to totally fade without dogging me, and still can occasionally.
Your mind would never let go of the leg, although you have to.

What kind of question is this? If you cut your leg off & didn't receive medical attention quickly; you would bleed to death. What do you mean "i mean your silly me"?

What would happen if you cut my leg off? You would go to jail and if you had any money whatsoever you would have to give it to me.

Your socks would last twice as long.
Your tap dancing would not be very good anymore.
Your chances of making it as a professional beggar would increase.
And you could win yourself a Darwin Award for killing yourself in the stupidest way imaginable for that year.
