Hi Undefined, You can purchase a CD-RW that is compatable with your computer system and operating system. Check with the PC manufacturer for suggested models, or pick out a model and look at the technical specifications to insure that it will work with your PC/MAC.

you need to replace it with a new one. The DVD/Cd burners are pretty cheap these days. I got mine for under 80 bucks from Dell. They walked me through the installation as it would have cost over $300.00 for them to come down and install it. Please make sure you think that part in advance. Most Electronic outlets sell them so, do some compare shopping to get the best deal......good luck............ ;)

You can't upgrade a ROM drive, you will simply have to get another one,
I would suggest a DVD drive as they are now really quite inexpensive. Have a look at these.....
