Praise is much more satisfying. So, from a purely selfish stand point, that is what I do. I have the luxury of being able to control the type of people that I deal with. Having my own company allows me the option of surrounding myself with people that I want to praise. There is no upside in raining on some body's parade. The only reason I would want to do that is if I didn't like them or felt they deserved it. Why bother? If I don't like somebody, I don't deal with them. Of course in business, sometimes you have customers that, while you can't stand them, they are important for the success of the company. I don't rain on their parade as such. I just gouge them when it comes to pricing. Works for me.

Ooooh, a weather question! How thunderful!
I think that on cloudy days, people need a little shower activity and praise certainly does bring rays of sunshine and hope to one's day. As long as they're not flooded.
But-
When I see a parade... and it needs a weather system... in comes the cold front, rapid change in pressure, upper-level disturbance, tons of moisture, and before Doppler radar could even pick it up... BAMM!! No more parade.... hahahahahaaaa!

From the lavish praise enjoyed under a torrent of warm spray, to the gentle rain that simply provides a kind word - I'm a shower(er) with a multi-speed nozzle...designed to give people what they need when they need it.

I would never shower with people. I would consider showering with a certain Southern Belle.
I might even parade around the room naked for her.

A warm shower massage is usually softer and more effective than a downpour of drool. If the parade is unacceptable to me, I tend to drizzle on it rather than pouring scorn. But most of the time, I try to be enlightning...

Both. I praise them then watch them crash and burn when I get to the bad stuff. It makes the fall that much further.
