TIVO?? I'm so excited for you! I remember life before TIVO- so will you! Congrats!

I guess my first recommendation for you would be that one cartoon based out of a small, mountain town in CO that's too violent for kids- oh, what is the name of that- you know- the one where the little poor kid dies unmercifully every time- man it's slipped my mind...North, uh, sumthin or other- and the fat control freak kid who manipulates his promiscuous mother- you know the one, help me out here- with the psycho-schizo school teacher, nervous bi-polar principal, charming school-lunch singer/chef dude and hippie hall monitor- c'mon, now, it's so damm funny- you know- what is it??
Ms, Nickname- you know right??

Nevermind, I can't think of it. Forget I said anything.

Here's my 5 fave's:

NUMB3RS
All CSI's
Criminal Minds
The Unit
and one more I can't seem to remember

Battlestar Galactica...don't look at me like that. According to me, several million people and Rolling Stone magazine...it is still "the best Show on television"...please note, that they didn't say Sci-fi show...this show is a drama that just happens to take place in space...this ain't your geeky sci-fi show...(not that there's anything wrong with those, however)...it's one of the finest drama's on TV.

Uhm....I don't watch enough TV apparently because all of the other shows that I would watch like, "Curb Your Enthusiasm", "Extras", "Rome", and "Life on Mars" are currently not in season. Oh well, it leaves me more time to pursue my other hobbies...like looking around for other hobbies.
