Whenever you have a family do/party let him show off his 'skills' and let him get his set out and gain confidence whilst in front of the family so he will feel more comfertable. Then eventually he can advertise (if he feels confident enough) to DJ at people's party (for a price of course) and let his name get known amongst the people. No DJ made it into a club 'like that' it takes time and experience and it sounds like your brother may be good enough but might not have the confidence to get out there yet. So my advice to you is just advertise his name in the local paper for say, parties and function rooms etc and hand out flyers (if you really want to get him out there) and then believe me, the money will soon start reeling in! It's just a matter of time and patience and I'm sure if your brother wants to be a proper DJ, he will have both!
Good luck!

How about trying to let him start performing in front of your Family and friends (yours & his), & friends of the family as well. Then he should slowly be at ease and not have anxiety about performing on stage (in front of a bigger crowd) Also, give him HONEST Feedback, their is no sense in you or friends and etc telling him that he is good when consciously you know the rest of the world would not be pleased with his work/talent. If you want you can also show him that you are his number one fan and try to promote him, this just might given him the added confidence that he needs especially to know that he has to show his true Skills.
Hope this helps!!!!!

Get him to start small, like friends parties where he'll be less intimadated. Or he sould face the back of the stage when he's playing (my very nervous friend who's in a band does that) and when he's feeling more relaxed he can turn round. Why not get a few people up there with him so he doesn't feel so exposed. Wish him Luck and tell him once he see's the crowd going mad for his sounds he'll forget all about it and feel like god!!

Just get him to go to a small venue first, and get him to try it there and see how they react and he will realise that not everyone will hate him after all. also you could watch how the other dj's move around and communicate to the audience with him, before he goes on, so he can practice it.

With a name like that, people will be packing 'em in at the venues. Everyone has to handle rejection at least once or twice in their lives, so his job is to HYPNOTIZE them into liking his music (as in "Trance").
