......what would you take with you?

You're leaving your home, your family, your job, your friends....everything! But you get to take these four items. What would they be?

My sister, my mom, my dad, my boyfriend. I will need large suitcases to accomplish this.

Fine I'll entertain the question you're really asking.

The quilt my mom made me for my 8th birthday. I have many wonderful memories sleeping under it and using it to make fortresses. It is well worn now and still smells like my old house.

A poster my sister did for one of my school projects. Last semester of college I took a Psychology of Death and Loss class. For my project I asked all my loved ones to write a letter, make something, anything to convey how they want to be remembered when they died. My sister is the creative one in the bunch and thus was the only one to make a poster, loaded with pictures and her signature handwriting. I think it best represents the sweet and creative person she is.

The letter my dad wrote for my project. I can't read that letter without crying. My dad always likes to portray himself as "the happy guy". It was nice to see a letter that actually exposed a little bit that is underneath the surface. It is my most treasured posession from him.

A cd with all of "our songs" (my bf and I). He generally gets me practical gifts or ephemereal ones (like flowers) so I don't particualrly have a piece of jewelry or any other object that embodies him. However we've always picked songs and talked about how such and such a song reminds each of us of the other. I can relive certain feelings and moments as though it is the original moment when I play these songs.

Whatever contains memories of everything I'm leaving behind and a piece of paper with my goal written on it so I know and remember what the HELL I decided to leave my home, children, career, friends, and everything else for!!!

I hope they make a suitcase big enough to fit all this Diet Mountain Dew because I won't be going very far without it.

If ever I got to the point of leaving everything behind, then everything would go - none of these mementos, photos or anything - if you're going, go. I'd take a wallet (containing plastic and ID/passports accessing accounts and personna I'd created). I'd take a good book and iPod full of music. And I'd take a big box of diabetic medication, so I wouldn't have to get any for a while.

Everything else I could pick up as I went.

I don't know how Stein will get his car into his suitcase.....but I guess that depends on the size of the suitcase....lol

1. My computer which contains all of my photos.
2. My favorite book that I could read over and over again (have think which one that would be)
3. Any kind of credit card
4. A huge bottle of Aspirin, cause I think I will need it.

I just hope wherever I am going, they will have electricity.....lol

Since I suppose I can't take HUMANS with me in my suitcase... my four items would have to be:

My Bible
My glasses or contacts if I can get them replenished where I'm going
A picture of my husband, children and grandchildren
clean underwear

My Beesties, Glock 17, photo album, all the cash from my safe and bank. Of course, I would have to leave in something, so I guess I would take the truck.

Photos of everyone I'm leaving behind, my watch so I'll know how long I've been away from them, a GPS unit so I can find my way back to them, and my American Express card...because you should never leave home without it.

Yes I have felt that way and a couple of times carried through with the running away. Guess what; it did not help because unfortunately the problem was me and you can not run away from yourself. Deal with what is going on and THEN go on with your life. You will have fewer regrets. Good luck.

Passport and 49 pounds of 100 dollar bills. Ok that's only two items. But it should be enough.
