Do they have to have tv licences in the usa if so how much do they cost.

Nope, it's just something the money grabbing BBC have been allowed to get away with. God knows why!

No they don't. Only very few countries have a tv licence system like ours.

The Yanks will soon correct me if iam wrong, but no licence,in stead of 6 mins per hour adds, i think its 12, it would drive a normal man mad, which i think explains a lot about the American mind

No, we do not have TV license. In fact I'm not really sure what a TV license is...but you pay out the *** for cable or satalite so that you can watch old crappy movies on HBO or Cinamax.

Yeah you don't need one if they do have em - but knowing those draconian imperialists it would probably be a Federal offence and youd get 5-10 hard time for not having it. Good luck.

no. its just a british thing. In the us you get a whole bunch of (rubbish) free chanels, and you can subscribe to get cable or sattelite.
