I would do everything I possibly could to prove my devotion without loosing myself in the process. I've gone too far sometimes, and when I got there I realized that I had left myself behind...and then the person I was proving myself to was like, "Who are you again?"
For me, there's a fine line between true devotion and being servile. I'm a giver by nature, so I tend to want to prove my devotion with actions versus words...and that can be hard, because sometimes I can give too much and my devotion can turn into a type of servitude and that just sucks...and I end up feeling used, stupid and betrayed.
So basically, as long as I can take myself with me in my quest to prove my devotion...I will do whatever it takes.

Without compromising my own integrity or the welfare of my own children, the possibilities are galactic! Although my ideas of this proof of devotion may not be exactly the same as the "another". So I guess it would be in my best interest to understand what "another's" idea of proof would be. I would hate to go through the effort of pushing mountains into the ocean when all she wanted was the dishes done that night.
But once I found out, I would assess my priorities, put the "another" and my goals with said entity into their respective ranking, give up everything else underneath, put on my neatly pressed superhero Antny cape and fly right where I need to go!
If that's what it takes to prove it, consider it done!

If I have to "prove" my devotion to anyone, if my actions have not already revealed that.... then I'd not move from the spot!!! Now if that other "needs" me.... then I'll do whatever is in my power, but no superficial acts just to prove it.

All it takes is being there for them, and rejecting all other advances. Eventually, they'll hear from another source about my loyalty.
Of course, if extreme circumstances should arise, I'd lay down my life for them.

That I would to anything for love
And I'll be there until the final act--
I would do anything for love!
And I'll take a vow and seal a pact--
