Thats a time in your life when you start turning from a woman to a man because you have no more hormones running around in your body and start borrowing your husbands shaver and deoderant and then you start letting your underarm hair grow and then hair grows on your chest and back and places where there are cracks and then you get all these hot flashes and cold flashes and flip off the guy in the car next to you because they have hormones and you don't and then your grandkids come over to your house and tell you how old and fat you are and then you get all depressed and go into the kitchen and fix you a nice cup of tea and eat half of a chocholate cake that you brought home from the wal-mart super center deli and then you feel much better.

It marks the end of a womans reproductive years.Look upon it as freedom from womanhood. No more periods. OK you may have some side effects but these can be controlled. NB It comes on very gradually from 45 tro 55 yrs approx

men - menstruation, o - as in "oh no", pause - to stop. Men-o-pause. This is when you become an old lady and stop having periods. You can no longer have children. You start growing hair on your chin, gain weight and start having hot flashes. Our mothers never talked about it. It was considered taboo. Now women go through it isn't any big deal.

It's kind of like a woman's mid-life crisis only it's not a crisis.It's more of a breaking point in her life.After it's over a woman won't have her period anymore.During it they have mood swings like they normally would on a period but they get hot flashes and stuff.
