I am voting Republican. The possiblity that Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Chuck Schummer, Hillary Clinton or Ted Kennedy could have any more influence or power is scary. The Republicans are far from perfect. They will protect this country and do whatever it takes to avoid another 9/11 on our shores. The liberal dems would give citizenship rights to terrorists. What on a college campus would be considered hazing they consider cruel and unusual punishment for terrorists. We have had some scandals on the Republican side but I might remind you of the dems problems: Ted Kennedy and Chappaquidick, Bill Clinton and I did not lie, the dems cheering a gay congressman who dated a former page, and finally Harry Reid and his crooked land deals. In any body of 100 or 400+ there are bound to be some unscrupulous individuals, but just as we cannot condemn all muslims for the acts of a few, we cannot condemn all Republicans or all democrats for the acts of a few. I will vote Republican because I believe they will try to cut spending and taxes. Their philosophy is not to redistribute wealth but to allow those who earn it to keep it. Our deficit has been almost cut in half - yes it is the seventh highest in history but that's not accounting for inflation. When we cut taxes more money goes into the economy. Jobs are created. Our country is being defended and we are defeating terrorism on its own turf.

Depending on the candidate, I will be voting both. I chose the best candidate, not the party they represent. Why do you need names if it was only about democrat and republican ? Vote over the issues , not the parties. make sure you know how the candidate will best represent you before voting. No group of newspapers or Union should decide an election. make a choice based on facts not opinions.

If I weren't voting against Mike Nifong here in Durham, N.C., my ballot would be straight Democratic.

I'm going to vote straight Republican this time just to annoy all these whining Democrats on Yahoo Answer, and I've invited 5 friend who all vote in the same location to go with me and do the same thing.

Democrat, we need to restore checks and balance to the government. One party rule is going to be the ruination of the constitution if it keeps its majority.
