One of my Grand-mother's prepared the Best of all hamburgers; it was her special touch; she always steamed the buns and we always ate the burgers while they were still warm; nobody could cut the onions into as tiny pieces as Grandma could! and she took us to see all the Elvis Presley movies at the Theaters and Drive-In Theater!
Also, Grand-ma would take us to our favorite drug store, where we sat around a glass-top table with stools attached to table, where we ate Lemon ice-cream in a pretty-- glass dish! Fond memories; I hope I get to Heaven and see her there as I believe she is in Heaven!

wow...too many to really choose from. My paternal grandmother would make oyster stew. I remember being completely grossed out by the look of the oysters when I was little. They looked like tiny little brains floating around in there! Took a while to get past that and really enjoy the stew.
My maternal grandma lived with us for the first 11 years or so of my life. She was your typical Italian grammy, the holidays were outstanding in our house. Everyone came to our house and were always stunned by the spread!
The simplest and best memory of her is when she was making bread. When she was done she would always save a little dough for us and make us fried dough rolled in sugar. THAT was the BEST and most looked forward to treat. It's always the simple things isn't it? :)
Now I take what I have learned from her and spoil my own family with it!
Thanks Gram!

My grammie!! She baked the best bread, pies, pastries ever!! She had the cutest giggle and she was sooo shy but very strict, religious woman from Czechoslovakia and she make funny named dishes like Drobinki and czonkafleki. lol lol She sang songs in czech and called everyone's name by adding 'inko' at the end of their name!! She made the most beautiful patchwork quilts and I loved to learn from her and sit and work in the garden with her. Sweety Grammie!

My Grand mother was my best friend. She was always open to help me in all of lifes problems. She had these little things she would say,,,like when she got her words confused she would say "got my tounge in the way of my eye tooth and couldnt see what I was saying". ,,,and if you tell her something surprising she would say "Well I declare",,,
Grand maw was so incredible,,,as I am sure yours was too. And still I hear her voice from time to time as I hope I always will.
Hey thanks for the great question,,,I love to talk and think of my grandmaw.
