My friend is a US citizen and single mother currently living overseas with her child who is also a US citizen.
She's never been married and the father's name isn't on the birth certificate. She is and has always been 100% responsible for her child. Travelling and gaining employment has never been a problem until now.
She has a job offer from another non-US organization, and doesn't expect to go back to the state any time soon. Her prospective employers are asking that she get something "The American Courts" saying that she has full custody of her child.
Can she do this online? Can the US embassy or consulate in the country she now resides help her with this?
