Maybe he was just being nice and inviting you because he thought you'd want to be there? It doesn't mean he gives a rip about you beyond that.

Guys do awful things especially after a breakup...They like to make sure that you know he is happy without you but in reality if they really were they wouldnt be playing stupid games...Learn the signs now that way you dont have to put up with this crap as you get older...

This guy that I was in love with one day up and decided that he was gonna move to Las Vegas to be with a girl that inherited a fortune...He made sure to keep my email address just to be a complete jerk and tell me how much he had and how good his life was...If it was soo good why the hell did he keep trying to contact me for 3 years after...Well cause he missed me and he knew how much I meant to him...I finnaly lost touch with him completely and now my life is soo much better...

Well you need to back up. It is clear ( not as water we can say) dat he is trying to heat you .He must be feeling happy for this
Now what you have to do is ,gather some confidence & do the same thing to him, understood. NO.
You try to make him feel that you are going away from,far.....away never contact him in usual .Than see what happens. He will definately try to sail towards you b,coz he 100% likes you & dat's Y he's heated you

You know guys love that... I love that fact that when the girl knows that i like her and we've been goin out like twice already. I love it when those times come around, like parties and goin out to clubs. bars etc... with her. And with all of our friends and her friends that is wickedly a good time to pretend that i'm not interested to her. Then ofcourse she will look at me all the time and then i would ask my friends if she was talkin about me or lookin at me... I'll pretend and play hard to get. But the following day.. I'll go to her house and ask her out and then when she gets emotional about what happend that night... Damn! that is good.. So that means i know that she really likes me... Hehehe! Its a part of a play baby..... Thats your answer.......

Forget this ignorant oaf, he's not worth spending your points on a question about him. Value yourself - you're worth someone better than this kind of yokel.

I hope you soon find a kind, considerate guy who values you too much to ignore you at a party or anywhere else! Best of luck!

maybe he is really shy!? Maybe he felt uncomfortable in front of all his friends because he likes you. Or he could be really uncertain of things and this makes him act in a "not so nice way"... If you get the chance (and you really like him) you could ask him why he acted like this, or if you don't care so much about him just forget about it and treat him the same way! Just be yourself!

it could be that he is dating someone else or that he feels by being closer to you, he may mislead you into a relationship. give yourself & him some space & time apart. you should go and find out from his friend whats happening, definately they should know. meantime know other nice guys. take it easy

Perhaps by inviting you he wanted to prove to himself (and others) that you would accept his invitation - even though you are no longer dating. Once he had proved his point, he no longer had to acknowledge you.
