Of course not. I have many straight friends who have stayed straight our entire lives.

Certainly, if someone is gay and has been repressing it, getting to know and understand gay people may help them realise it.

But your question is essentially similar to saying, "if I am close with an Asian person, will I automatically become Asian?"

Are you that crazy? There's nothing wrong with homosexuals, mkay? They're just people. It's like saying, If a man is close with a politician, does that automatically mean that he will also become a politician, or he is a communist?

No, just because you're friends with someone doesn't mean you will do what they do. If a male has a female friend, does that mean he'll become female? NO. Use some common sense!

He will only become gay or bi if he is hardwired that way. If he has a gay friend, and is a hetero man he will not become gay. It's not contagious.
