e to the power of (-x) = 0.471
Find x.
I remember it has something to do with In, but cannot remember how to move down the negative sign?

e^(-x) = 0.471
Taking ln on both sides,
-x ln e = ln 0.471
-x = ln 0.471 (because ln e = 1)
x = -(ln 0.471)
x = 0.753

I love Shetland type ponies! 1) How Much would she approx eat a day? A pony this size needs very little feed. I'd guess 4 or 5 hours of pasture a day/night, or 2-3 sections of hay per day. NO GRAIN! 2) Approx how much exercise would she need? If she gets turnout, that will be enough. As long as they have the room to move around and run a bit, they get enough on their own. If you are going to drive her, of course, she'll need more to get and stay fit, but if you plan to use her as a pasture ornament, she'll do it on her own. 3) What do you think of her (please dont say dont get her, just your opinion) She sounds adorable. Conformation wise, I give her an OK, she's not what I'd consider show/breeding quality. If you're in the US, she's not the horseshow driving type of Shetland - more the good ol' original style kid's pony. 4) SHould I get her with the tack or with out all I would REALLY need is the brushes, mabye fly sheet, halter and lead rope because i will not be riding her but exercising her from a lead rope. Since the tack's included, go ahead and get it. You may be able to sell it, if nothing else. 6) Would you get her? Why or why not? I wouldn't get her, because I already have two Shetland crosses and that's two more than I need anymore... at least until grandchildren come along!! :D 7) DO you think she would be a good 1st shetland? First horse or just first shetland? Hard to say either way, since I've never met her. Sounds good, but who really knows? 8) What do you think for price wise ($1000 cnd) I think she's way overpriced. You can't ride her and her driving is rusty... the market's not gonna support this price for a pony that's not horse show flashy, not meticulously trained, no pedigree, not registered, etc. No show record, no provable accomplishments... they'll be lucky to get $200. 9) What would you use her for? Pasture ornament/companion/future grandkids mount 10) any other tips? Ask yourself why you are interested in this particular pony, and make a list of what you're looking for in a pony. Then go to other websites and comparison shop. You may find a better opportunity elsewhere for a lot, lot less. Princess? I don't think I'd keep that name. But that's totally a matter of individual taste.

e to the power of (-x)=1/e to the power of (x)
1/e to the power of (x)=0.471
therefore e to the power of (x)= 1/0.471 which is equal to 2.1231.
i could solve only this much sorry bcos im not a math student. Im a microbiologist.

Whoa that looks pretty difficult. Sorry I can't help. Besides, I'm not one for doing math at 5:00 in the morning.

ans: x = - (ln 0.471)
since
-x = ln 0.471
so bring the negative sign over.

first take ln of e i.e .-xln(e) = ln (0.471)

it will become -xlne=(0.471)
as a law lne = 1
so -x= ln(0.471)
use calculator to calc ln(0.0471)

now give me my pionts

e raised to pwer(-x)= 0.471
e^-x = 0.471 (^ -> raised to power)
we can write it as:
(log(0.417)/log e) = -x
(log e=2.718)
solving the above equation u'll get x(hope you know how to use log)
tell me is this help ful for u?

e^-x=0.471 take log base e of both sides

-xln(e)=ln 0,471, ln(e) =1 because it is base e

x=-ln0.471 = -(-0.753)=0.753

Take ln of both sides

-x=ln0.47
so x= -ln0.47

Don't have my calculator on me, sure you do.
