This might give you a headache. "I took an oath to protect the Constitution against all foreigners . . ., foreign and domestic."

A California congresswoman said this. I don't recall her name or party.

I just don't know what to say.

For any who do not know, this is the oath of office.

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God."

Thanks for the warning, I took a pre read Advil...

I am going to cut her some slack on this, eye roller that it is. Perhaps her speech writer was hungover, and the congresswoman herself was dealing with adult children calling her up about their marital problems whilst her husband refuses to put the family dog down despite it being blind, lame, and incontinent. She had this stupid speech to make to some kind of lobby group and really didn't give a rip at that moment...
