I'm thinking of getting a nose piercing, right in the middle, like a cow.

Now I'm guessing there's going to be a little problem, like when I pierced my ears, there would be dried blood over the pierced place, and some kind of sticky yellow liquid oozing out. That time I hardly ever washed it (except with normal tap water just to get those irritating layers of blood and icky yellow stuff off).

This time when I do my nose I don't think I want that to happen, as it would be much more bothering than it was on my ears. Is there some sort of way to minimize those kind of problems after I pierce my nose?

BTW, anyone had this idea before? Or seen anyone do it?

I have known many people to do it. and really the only way to keep from haveing it get icky is CLEAN IT!!! Yes that involves picking your nose sometimes...gross but effective. Be careful...clean your hands first...use soft soap or saltwater to clean it and if you use saltwater make sure it is sea salt...not table it's too refined

i had this done and took it off after a few months just because it itched like crazy and was a ***** to clean, not to mention when you get crusty build-up on the ring and it gets moved through your septum it can be excruciating.

surprisingly, I think it looks better on women than it does men. the piercing itself was completely painless and by far, the easiest piercing ive ever had. As far as making sure there is no puss, well that isnt possible because thats part of the process of healing but you can minimize the amount of it by soaking it regularly in salt water. you can also buy a salt water spray that works ok too but is a lil expensive. mine got infected and was sore for a few days especially when touched, but it quickly goes away. an infection can be very painful but it is very common with this type of piercing just so you know. In fact, ive never known anyone whose septum ring didnt get infected at least once.

This is done in India by tribal. Why would you want to pierce it right in the middle. There will be a lot of infection possible. Mos nose jobs are done on the side

you wont have this problem that you had with your ears because now it is done with a different ,more safer, way..

but it hurt so bad in the middle of your nose. it would be painless to pierce yous nose somewhere else like most girls do

I've seen this type of piercing before. It can look very cool.
I've had loads of piercings and you always need to clean them with some kind of antiseptic lotion.
I used to do it in the mornings and before bed most nights.
If you take care of them they won't be a problem.

Good luck!

Be aware that if you get this piercing, you run a fairly serious risk of infection. A small (but definitely growing) percentage of the people who get it end up dying of meningitis, which is a really nasty way to go.

My nose is peirced. There is not as much blood/pus leakage in that area as there was with my ears. It is not messy or painful.

Have fun with it!
