not alot if you take the bio-psycho-social approach, as biological, psychological and social systems in the human mind and body interact with each other, and this interaction is so complex that it results in each persons experience as being unique. Yet our human instinct is to break stuff up into categories and there you have the dynamics of different subjects such as psychology and sociology. Hope this is a good contribution to your debate. I think....
sociology deals with people, groups and the world and how it interacts with issues and the public... Psychology, deals wih the mind and how one person 's views differ to others....usually in a personal 1 on 1 situation....

sociology is the study of a collaborated behaviour of people interacting. psychology, on the other hand is an innate study of an individual's behaviour, be it isolated or interacting. The former and the latter do have a tad bit of overlapping but the distinction is still there. hope that helps.

Sociology studies groups and social trends; what large masses of people do. Psychology tells us its study is the individual human mind. I say "tells us," because I am very cynical about psychology. But then, come to that, I'm pretty cynical about sociology, too! Can you say "propaganda?"

sociology deals with people and how the act or react in and to society. psychology just deals with people and their disorders or normal behavior. had them both in college this is a rude definition but one nonetheless.
