To the person above, not many careers will allow you to make 18,000 a month. I'm guessing that is a typo?!
I work at home as an MT and have done so for 9 years. I make approximately $500-600 a week. It basically depends on how much work you can type, because most companies pay at a per line rate. Some people might not think $500-600 a week is a lot, but considering there are no costs like gas mileage or daycare expenses if you have children, it is a great income.

I know several people who do this, and have since pre-computer days, who make a good living at it. You have to work at it, and work hard at promoting your services to get some good clients, but yes, it can be done.
