You know how we see those aliens in movies and stuff...
How did we come up with their appearance?
Do you think someone actually saw an alien once and then was like "wow, gotta make a movie about this"?

I hate to be the one to inform you but we are all aliens. HHow do you think we came to be? We come from a planet much like this where the gasses exploded but there was a 100 year warning and the scientist developed a way for travel to this land mass we call earth. The human vessel is quite similar to the way it was back on that planet with the exception of brain location was in the foot, today it is located in the buttocks region. Oh one more thing, the planet was considered to have intelligent life. One day I hope we can say the same. Beam me up Scotty!

I think the 'appearance' of the 'alien' makes it very clear that humans are relating only what they know of their own physical being to 'aliens' in the way that they always appear with two arms and two legs and a larger head to what appear to be a physical feature accommodating the larger brain of the intellectual being. I think the green or grey colour is owing to the Greene theory colour of the moon and grey also as the colour of the moon from afar. Its height is is made up just to relate to the 'alien' being's planet atmosphere.

because of writers back in the late 19th century but when the scare of H.G.Wells really put the ice-ing on the cake so to speak. the early writers were doctors and scientists.

I personaly think that someone came up with a character and then everyone else coppied............i mean...............its a bit weird that all of them seem to look the same!
