Staying at my Nanna's at Christmas time. we would sleep with out heads under the Christmas Tree looking up at the lights. here in Australia December is high summer with extreme heat.
So the sound of the air conditioner humming all night. The flashing lights and the dusty smell of recycled tinsel.
All I have to do is smell tinsel or it be late at night in my own lounge with Christmas lights flashing on my own tree and I am transported to my childhood.
