When I moved into my rented house, the Landlord did not supply a refrigerator. She said that she just stop putting them in after they break. I had lived in this same house with my mother when my parents divorced, and there was a fridge then. We did have to buy the washer and dryer (did this time as well). But every time I mention that I bought a fridge, everyone freaks out. They tell me that I shouldn't have to supply the fridge in a rental unit. I have tried looking through Oregon Landlord/Tenant laws, but it started to give me a headache, the print was so small and the sections went on and on and on and on and on....
Anyone have any insight on this? It would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Landlords do not have to supply appliances.... but most of them do. There is no law stating that they have to provide a refrigerator to their tenant unless it is in you lease.

The landlord is not required to supply you with any furniture whatsoever, it is a luxury on there part to do so, or out of there good heart.

All you should have to do is look at your lease rules & conditions. It should cover who is responcable for what. Landlords don't have to supply apliances og fix them unless its in the lease. The bright side is you buy it its yours so you move you can take it with you.

You must read your lease, this is the legal contract between you and your landlord. If it is not stated in your lease then the answer is no.

Your lease should spell out exactly what 'comes with' your apartment via the terms of the lease.
