I would try Baby Einstein. They specialize in infants. They really make great discovery toys for infants as young as 2-3 months old. Check out their website. I believe Toys R Us stll markets the brand.

Fisher price toys for babies are unreal. They are a little more expensive than other brands, but trust me you will get your money's worth. I found that when they were babies they loved them and the beauty of them is that they are really durable. They are toys that are stimulating to baby but at the same time calms them. I find the brand fisher price in most dept stores and toy shops.

toys with bright colors, rattles, toys that can be held easily, lightweight and thin for their little bitty hands. sassy makes some great baby toys you can find'em at walmart. all of my kids loved musical toys. try the kick and play piano by fisher price...they have a lot of fun with that and also a baby gym. they love those b/c they can lay beneath them and look up at the toys.

Soft toys, things that don't have small parts that he might swallow.

Try blocks or stackable rings or soft baby books if you want something more educational.
