My boyfriend and I have been together for over 4 years, we love each other much. Recently, he opened a MySpace/music account and has acquired "friends" to promote his music. He chats with them sometimes for hours and is friendly with some more than others. We've had discussions about this because I think it's getting too personal. His answer to me is that he is not doing this to meet anyone, that he will never actually meet anyone that he is just friendly because people like his music. His friends are 95% women, that have occassionally asked him personal questions, he says he's told them he is in a relationship. I believe him, to give him the benefit of the doubt, but it still bothers me. Am I overreacting or is this perfectly normal?

I appreciate your response before I go loca!! Thanks!

That depends....has your boyfriend ever given you reason to distrust him before? If not then chances are he IS being good. If he has then you might want to question him. But keep in mind, For the most part when people chat online, they tend to prefer chatting with the opposite sex, even if they are in a relationship. Not because they want to cheat, just because for some reason it seems a little easier to talk to someone of the opposite sex.

However if you really do doubt him and think he's lying then maybe you (or a trustworthy friend of yours) should make a new myspace and pretend to be someone else....talk to him and see how he responds and if he's being honest with you.

Same prob. girl, what am I doing is am trying to evaluate his actions towards me and to other girls. I did ask him to stop flirting with other women since he is in a relationship. Since am a very naive person during our first month I asked him if he wants me to be naive again. of course he doesnt like. Try to negotiate, (is that the right term?) but I did, So far, it's effective. He's not flirtting i mean not to much.

He may be flirting...but dont worry about all those friends. Most ppl just add people for the # of friends they can get on there, and hardly talk, its just mostly for popularity.

u need to relax, ur boyfriend is feeling starstruck, let him live it up for now, its just a phase, and if it's not a phase, and u dont want to support him and his music then get out.

you might want to look at it as if it were porn. he's staring pictures of girls. okay, not really porn. but STILL. although, it's pretty common so i guess you cud call it normal. find out if he's lying first. don't just jump to conclusions.
