I agree that it is likely to be a pro rata amount for those days in January (18/365 multiplied by your usual holiday allowance) but it will depend on the terms and conditions of your employment. However, if you're being made redundant could you not try to negotiate some more as part of your redundancy package?
If you have a union they will be able to advise you, otherwise try the Citizens Advice Bureau as suggested by someone else

As I recall you holiday entitlement for the year depends on how much you worked the previous year so you should get paid for the holidays you accumulated during 2006. At least that was how we did it when I was working and I think that was the legal way. I would have to check but I am going to have a cup of coffee

Hi, Sorry to hear about your redundancy. If your tax year starts in January, I think you are. It depends on who you work for. You may need to read your work contract and ask Citizens advice.
