Now stupid answers will only give you away, so let's see what you say in an intelligent way? Thank you, so let's hear from the intelligent people, and leave dumb and dumber outside stuck on the ice.

I know my IQ, but i think its more than simply getting great grades. there are different forms of intelligence including emotional intelligence, this ensures you are able to function and relate in an average society.

Hmm. All these people say they know their IQ! Either you guys are older than me, or I'm missing out on something! I've never been given the opportunity to get an IQ test. They're mostly obsolete, I've heard.
Anywho..
I consider myself intelligent for many reasons. First of all, I am G.A.T.E. identified (http://www.cde.ca.gov/sp/gt/ ). This means that I have been identified as gifted and talented by GATE coordinators, and that I am given more rigorous material than non-GATE identified students. In addition to this, I have quite high test scores in all test subjects, and have had these high test scores for the past several years. Last year I got straight A's. This year I am getting straight A's so far (though the end of the first semester hasn't come yet, and won't for a while, so I guess that isn't entirely accurate). I'm taking AP Statistics my sophomore year. I'm the youngest person in the AP Statistics Class (the only sophomore), yet I'm probably the #1 student in the class.
Not only do I consider myself intelligent/smart, but I've become aware of the social environment results of being intelligent. As in the book "Flowers for Algernon," (which I highly recommend you read since you appear to be interested in intelligence - it's a wonderful book!) when one becomes a certain level higher than others (in terms of intelligence), communications becomes difficult and exclusion comes naturally. (This is also quite evident in the Ender/Shadow series written by Orson Scott Card, which I also recommend you to read!) I'm not saying that I am nearly as intelligent as the characters in this books, but I am saying that I suffer from the same "symptoms" that they do, to a lesser (but still quite noticeable) extent.
I've never really thought about why I think I am smart. This was a bit of an eye-opener. I enjoyed writing this answer very much.

The first step to becoming smart is realizing that the world and the people in it are full of BS. Everybody has an agenda and they are willing to project BS to the world to fulfil it. We live in a world of appearances. Once you learn to see through this, you are well on your way

Well, objectively, because an IQ test told me so :)
Another way of telling you're intelligent is high grades (especially with little effort). Socially, if you're talking to people and they don't know what you're on about...MIGHT be another sign ;) Not a good sign.

I'm not afraid to learn things,I can talk about a variety of subjects,I'm very conscious of how I speak(in terms of pronouncing words),I literally cringe when I hear people say things like"they was " or "we was" or mispronuonce common words like probably(99.9% of the time I hear them pronounce it as "probly or prolly").

I'm old! made lots of mistakes, but only once! I guess that because I learned from those mistakes, that makes me smart.
