Well not all toilet seats are shaped that way. Some infact are rounded (oval)

because guys need to use it too lol... when a guy stands up and pisses into a toilet, sometimes he drips onto the front rim of the toilet seat, since there is a gap, more drips fall into the toilet and not onto the seat
