Why not complete the mold and make it an oval? IS there a purpose in this, especially if someone is sitting?

Well not all toilet seats are shaped that way. Some infact are rounded (oval)

because guys need to use it too lol... when a guy stands up and pisses into a toilet, sometimes he drips onto the front rim of the toilet seat, since there is a gap, more drips fall into the toilet and not onto the seat

More for guys, when they a doing a job, a pee at the same time will be handy if there a gap in front.
