I was just wondering if AMC is one of the channels that shows unedited films, or if they take out all the violence/cursing? I like to see movies as they were originally shown, not cut up a bunch.

AMC has never shown a movie that I am aware of that has a lot of violence, or even swear words, other than DAMN. Remember, that AMC stands for American Movie Classics. The show classic movies, which are old, or older than the kinds of violent movies we see today. I think I saw Dog Day Afternoon on AMC a few years ago, but can't remember if there were any swear words, but whatever movie they are showing, I have never heard a bleep to cover up the original words, or even a re-recorded vocal version where they say shoot instead of the original ****. You can try watching movies on AMC that you have already seen, and are familiar with that have swearing and violence (if they show one) and see for yourself.

Not really. The last few movies I watched on AMC were Insomnia, Night Hawks, and Open Range. Most of the violence is cut but the language is kept pretty much pg-13.

They used to vary by the time the show/movie was aired. I remember seeing much more violent films on in late night timeslots and much more mellow stuff during the day a primetime. But I think a lot has changed there...
