Dearest Betty,

I no more chose to be sexually attracted to men as I chose to like peanut butter cookies, sausage and peppers, or potato salad. I do not choose to disgusted by liver and onions, I have a negative physical reaction to being in their presence (I barf). Those are things I cannot change. I am only sexually attracted to men - the idea of being with a woman sexually does nothing for me. No, that's not true - the idea has killed erections! My point is it is not a preference, nor is it a choice.

I remember your previous posting, and honestly I think it may have been deleted because it wasn't posted in the form of a Question. It was a statement with a question mark at the end.

Now, as far as your argument about Logic, you don't actually have the first clue as the proper debating formats. So, I bid you "fair well" in your efforts to get a brain.
Yes, a LOGICAL argument would infact be that if you state that homosexuality is a choice, then you MUST agree that Heterosexuality inversely is ALSO a choice.

Just because you don't like actual Logic, doesn't mean you can discount it.

I pointed out before, and I'll state it again, if you didn't catch it before: Homosexuality DOES NOT go against natural law at all.

Sex is NOT exclusively for procreation, if it were than infertile couples would be just as "off kilter" as homosexuals for taking part in a function that serves no purpose.
Which brings up the logical argument: Do all things humans do "HAVE" to serve a purpose? Do humans not take part in activities which are merely for pleasure?

Besides, what does it matter if it is a choice or not? Does that justify discrimination against a group of human beings because of a choice that does NO harm to anyone?

Do all heterosexual, opposite gender couples ONLY ever have sex for the purpose and intent on procreation?
Do all heterosexual, opposite gender sexual encounters always result in procreation/conception?
Is there an argument to ban or outlaw any sexual activity which does not result or is not intended for procreation?
Is there any argument to ban or outlaw infertile couples from engaging in sexual activities since it's simply illogical that their encounters would be productive at all?

Ask yourself these questions...if you answer "Yes" to any of them...you're simply lieing to yourself.

Well, you are free to ask the question and I don't see why you can't ask it.But dismissing the equal question of "is heterosexuality a choice" is counter productive. You see, I do not believe that we choose our sexuality.Therefor, asking if homosexuality is a choice is no more or less different then asking if heterosexuality is a choice.

The answer is no.At least not for me.I already tried to choose to be heterosexual. It didn't work. And as sexually uninterested in men that a heterosexual man would be, I was totally unattracted to the female gender. Thus I can't choose to be heterosexual and that means I did not choose to be homosexual. That is just how it is for me.

i don't think anything can be said to change your mind, so why ask the question? sexual orientation is not a choice...it's genetic. i am not a homosexual man because i have a fear or anxiety of heterosexual relationships, i just have no interest or desire.

Sexual behaviour is a choice, but not sexual orientation. A homosexual can choose not to act on their feelings but thats about it - it doesn't stop them from being attracted to their own sex.

Some bisexuals have a certain degree of choice as they're attracted to both genders and could choose to restrict their activity to one gender. Again, this doesn't stop them from being bisexual. There may be a few people who can "choose" who they are attracted to, but then they're probably in the minority.

Somehow I think the scientists who have come up with the facts that Gay is not a choice have a little more credibility than you do, Betty! You assert, "I believe....................."
Do you think that is a valid basis for so important and serious an analysis? There are hundreds of thousands of gay people in the world who will tell you it is NOT a choice...because if it was who the hell would choose it? Who woould choose discrimination and condemnation by society. Being Gay aint easy BETTY, in very many places in the word.

Homosexuality is a psychological circumstance.... in simple terms on the grounds which you 'sense' a definite way does not make it precise to behave on. to illustrate: Being bipolar does not advise its okay to scream at your toddlers, even regardless of the shown fact that your rage is led to via a organic and organic circumstance. ANd different between gay marriage, and interracial marriage is that interracial marriage does no longer require the exchange in definition of marriage (a fullyyt different subject rely of its very own). Marriage grew to become into nevertheless in simple terms between a guy and a woman, as this is been because of the fact the initiating of time. gay marriage motives a metamorphosis interior the definition of marriage. you will possibly no longer think of this could be a large deal, yet this suggests that, interior the destiny, people could use this argument to make different varieties of relationships felony. i grew to become into staring at 'Futurama' final nighttime, and that they actually gave the perfect occasion.... they have been attempting to legalize marriage between robots and people because of the fact, through-out the previous 1000 years, they already legalized marriage between te maximum strange issues (different species, or perhaps between supernatural beings). Now, it extremely is obviously in simple terms a fictional teach, regardless of if it brings up a element.... if we modify the definition of marriage now, we would possibly no longer have a leg to stand on whilst people protest to permit marriage between a human and dogs, or a human and settee... or 5 adult males and seven women. What are we going to do, whilst those protesters bypass to the ideally suited courtroom because of the fact they could use a similar arguements used for gay marriage (we like eachother, it does not harm each and every physique) as nicely because of the fact the recent, and greatest element of all (we replaced the definition of marraige as quickly as, so why will no longer be able to we do it lower back? We already desperate that its no longer a large deal to alter the definition). And all of us be attentive to that this is going to take place, because of the fact there are already small communities obtainable who evaluate it completely fantastic to have a lot of those relationships. they only are not on the leading side yet, in particular because of the fact they be attentive to they gained't make any strides yet..... yet as quickly as gay marriage is legalized, they could have an income element wherein they could make those strides in the direction of legalizing some bizzare varieties of marriage.

sexuality is programmed like the rest of your brain. you have preferences and that is just the way it is, not a choice, its part of your chemical makeup. what about a schizophrenic? a bipolar? how about someone that prefers beef over pork? its not a choice its programmed. its in the DNA. anyone can make a choice who they want to be with, male or female. but ultimately, sexual preference is as much DNA as the color of your eyes and hair. you cant change it. you say it is your belief and opinion yet you have no proof to back up your argument.

Ok. i don't believe homosexuality is a choice of any kind. being gay myself, i know i tried avoiding the issue for years until i couldn't take it anymore. the most important thing is to be comfortable within yourself, no matter what gender, sexuality or race you are. lesbians and gays only ever have the choice as to when they wish to 'come out of the closet'. a person cannot choose their atrractions.

Sexuality is a choice. It should not be judged. I'm straight but I don't run down homosexuality. Everyone has a choice by rights.
